Jalandhar Chapter: Painting the City White…..the AOL way!
Jalandhar Chapter was on the roads today, to spread Sri Sri’s message of universal love and happiness through a divine rally held from central point- Company Bagh to the city’s busiest market Fullanwala chowk near Jyoti Chowk. It was indeed a scene to remember when hundreds of AOL teachers and volunteers, in spotless white clothes were on the busiest road of the city, holding pla-cards of Gurudev’s message of peace, health, happiness, importance of breath, right diet and way of living, rather….Art of Living.
The rally was in honour of world renowned teacher Sh. Mahesh Giri ji’s tour in city scheduled from 25-30 Nov 2008. Jalandhar Chapter is preparing to host 10,000 devotees and participants of world’s biggest Mega Course of Sh. Mahesh Giri ji at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium. This rally was aimed to create awareness about the upcoming mega course, so that maximum people may take benefit of this divine arrangement and it will continue till 24th Nov ’08.

AOL-Jalandhar could feel the rhythm in all teachers and volunteers heart on 1,000 Sitarists playing celestial music in benevolent presence of Gurudev! Many of them were not present physically, but the live telecast was projected with on LCD-Screens at various places across Jalandhar, so that no one could be deprived of this lifetime opportunity.
Jalandhar is eagerly awaiting Mahesh Giri ji's arrival for the Mega course beginning from 25th November and there was literally speechless to see Mahesh Giri ji anchoring the entire show, where he got all the eye balls stuck at him without a blink! Mahesh ji has his own style of gluing the audience and of course, everyone takes home thought to 'apply' in their life.

Mahesh Giri ji’s auspicious feet touches Jalandhar soil 23rd Nov’08
Rose petals all over the platforms of Jalandhar Railway station were witness for the devotional flow of hundreds of volunteers, devotees and teachers of Art of Living, when the entire battalion reached there to received our beloved-Internationally acclaimed AOL teacher Shri Mahesh Giri ji.
The sound of 5-6 dholwalas, is still thudding in everyone ear, the sight at the station was breathtaking when around 250 people were dancing and celebrating hours before arrival of Shri Mahesh Giri ji’s train. There were bhajans & satsang on the station, till the train arrived. All the eyes were eagerly searching for our “Chakk-De Star” and there he comes in spotless white attire, ever smiling… the divine glow on his face was assuring everyone to gain much more than one expects in his this Jalandhar visit. The journey from platform till parking was lovingly stretched into 45 minutes instead of original two minutes, thanks to the excitement of devotees. All other passengers at station was wondering who is so special arriving that entire city good feel the positive vibrations. Not only that, but Mahesh ji’s car was escorted by 50-60 cars, almost making a AOL rally-on-wheels, with volunteers waving pla-cards of Mega course & Art of Living through out the journey from station till the devotees home where Mahesh ji was to stay. It was truly a scene to capture, specially at red lights, when volunteers would start singing bhajans! Truly, you can FEEL the bhakti wave in Jalandhar.
Mahesh ji is very close to Jalandharites and so is Jalandhar to Mahesh ji, that is why, inspite of being his dates booked till next two years, he especially altered his program to give dates for his ‘Punjab-de-puttars’. Jalandhar is full of enthusiasm and thick spirit of ‘Sangachhatvam’ can be seen everywhere.
The way all volunteers and teachers are involved in arrangements for Mahesh ji’s Mega course beginning from 25 Nov ’08 at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, it seems all clocks have stopped, the world is standing still and everything else will resumes back to normal only when this mega course culminates successfully!!!!
With arrival of Mahesh ji, the AOL-Jalandhar team is charged up more and are unstoppable till the complete this ‘zimmedari’.

Volunteers Experience Sharing
March ’08: Few months back, when people arrived at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium to participate in Mega Part -1 Course by Shri Mahesh Giri ji, they had no idea that there life is going to take a new curve in all together new direction! No one returns empty handed from any Art of Living sessions, but here at Jalandhar something divine was directing selected to soul to be part of a ‘Maha-aayojan’ which was designed by Gurudev in the coming days. Unaware of this huge gamutbeing already conceived at the supreme level, these participants gave their 100% in Mahesh ji’s course (most of them, out of fear of not being invited at the stage to adorn “Pappu Chair”) Last day at satsang, they could really feel the slow, but deep transformation that has taken deep within their consciousness and they somehow knew, there is much more to come in future.
Out of thousands of Mega participants, again, few hundreds who were regular with their Kriyas, sadhna, satsang, follow-ups and seva were further filtered by divine arrangements for advance and DSN course. They were not aware of what dynamite of energy they were sitting on for years, till Anandji’s soft and hard treatment made them ROCK SOLID!!. Here are some experiences to share:
1) A morning ceremony at shamshaan ghat, very heavy atmosphere, people are sad and depressed, sharing their grief, was one of the AOL volunteers. Out of discussion on life, death and uncertainty the topic touched how everything here in this world is temporary, transient, so how should one be happy in all such situations. The AOl volunteer Raman ji came up with a solution-AOL-the guaranteed everlasting happiness formula. Can you beat it!! On-the-spot, there were two registrations after his brief talk! That’s the spirit! Certainly, when you have gained so much in life, you certainly want to share as much as you can.
2) An AOL volunteer was passing by road, he noticed that in a corner, one sad face, a road side fruit vendor was sitting ina gloomy mood. Mahesh ji’s word echoed “ Insaan ki muskurahat, parmatma ki muhar hai…Product Complete!” he wanted to find out what’s wrong with this (fruit vendor) product. When he approached the fruit vendor, the vendor told him, he is sad because this world is not a right place to live-in, everywhere there is pain and desolation. The volunteer gave a brief talk of Art of Living, the questioned him with apprehension, “it is true that Sudarshan Kriya will take away all my problems ?... even my heart problem, because of which I have to take number of pills everyday?”. The volunteer nodded with as smile. The vendor immediately opened his cash box and pleaded to register him straight away.
3) Young AOL volunteer who was in love with a girl next door was somehow not able to make both ends meet and express to his parents about what was there in his heart. Since the girl’s family was also AOL devotees, during seva both young couple got closer, initially where this boy was unable to make both the parents agree for their marital alliance, within few months, things have changed so drastically, that the both the parents willingly got the young lovy-dovies engaged!!!!
4) Another young executive, was not very satisfied with the kind of work she was doing in her present assignment, but had no choice as to stick to the job as she had other commitments in life. One fine morning when she went to office, her boss said some hard word for her & AOL. She was hurt deeply, but then she remembered in the morning group sadhna session, Gurudev’s message inAshtavakra was to be the witness of events. She kept on repeating the knowledge point. It was her dream to do something for the unprioviledged people, but again the same was not possible with a job. Fews days after she was invited by a reputed organization to take over as Dean (Special Project) and take care of training and job placements of below-the-poverty-line students from villages and she was offred a handsome salary package for this responsibility. Today she is successfully handling the projects!!!! So if your intentions are right, you can walk blind-fold on gurudev’s directions!!!
